Residents who show up can:
Hear explanations about the school budget
Ask questions
Speak for or against items
Make changes to dollar amounts or wording
Vote on those changes
And yes—the operating budget can be changed up or down at this meeting.
Whatever is decided in that room becomes the final version voters see in March.
If only a few people show up, those few decide what the entire town votes on.
The deliberative session is your one chance to help shape the budget and articles before the public votes.
If you care what ends up on the ballot, you have to show up.
